Dirk sends me an SMS to come and help, so I get my things ready. Then he phones to say, hold on, a F250 is on the way to assist. So I say soon we will go and recover a Jeep, a Tucson and a F250....and so it happened

Dirk in the Rubi, Gordz in the big 35" shod, double locker cruiser, and me in my softroader, i.e. the Triton.

Get there and the guys have already done the hard labour with some spades and packed some branches behind the wheels of the F250. It's a 70's F250, not one of the newer ones.

Gordz and I hook up my big poffadder and the 14 ton tow strap to the Triton and the F250. We take our time and put all the necessary safety straps in place.

I give the F250 a light snatch and pull him to dry ground.

Dirk leaves as he's got another appointment. Gordz and I hook up the Tucson and that just needs a light pull to get out.

The area between us and the Jeep is just one big marsh, still from June's heavy rains, so I take a long way around. The road I took was not long enough, so I get stuck. The cruiser pulls me out without too much hassles.

We take an even longer road to the Jeep. The cruiser and the F250 stays on dry ground and I go closer to the Jeep. We hook the Jeep up and with a light snatch it comes out, as Jan had already done some work with the spade and packed branches.

We all drive out of the area with no further incidents....a fun way to spend an afternoon
