Recommendation is to use the 2SO with every tank, 200:1; i.e 250ml for 50 litres of diesel. By a 5l container and decant into smaller bottles. On average a 5l lasts me more than 10,000km and then the R210 is not much money.

My opinion on fuel specs is that it is specs and no one actually checks contamination, dirt and other. So what real guarantee do you have as to what you put in the tank? Protect yourself.

    Cheers

MS Word now converts to PDF perfectly. Simply use the Save As function and choose PDF. 8)

Why do diesel vehicles not have a separate 2SO tank to mix in the correct proportion? This worked perfect in my 1980 2so off-road bike....

I also wondered about that, my first Honda MB5 had a tank like that that would mix as go. Down side is the possible positive affect it could be having in the curbing of algae in your tank and fuel system pre 2stroke feed.

Anyways, I am not allowed to comment on this thread as I do NOT have a CRD, but will watch as this is usually interesting.

As for diesel vs petrol, have to agree that I have had way less hassles from me diesel vehicle than any of my petrol powered cars.

    Other things you should know;

    1. Your neighbours will hate you if you are an early riser.
    2. Your neighbours will tell your wife what time you got home while she was visiting her mom.
    3. You will often have to fill up in some dark corner of a service station where all the hookers and skellums hang out.
    4. You will need 10 people to push it half a kilometre to bump start it.
    5. You carpets will get ruined from walking in the spilt diesel around the fuel pumps.

    1. AGREE if its a v6/v8 Tuned Petrol
    2. No problem, at least the Diesel will get you home more often than Petrol Motors.
    3. More Hookers and skellums operate in busy areas such as busy Petrol pumps.
    4. At least we have friend whose willing to push.
    5. OMO washes all your problems away.

    2.5 TDI VW Touareg

I am sure there are some engines that will have problems, but to state that diesel technology is inferior to pertrol technology when looking at reliability/risk of breaking down. Then I will say ... crap.

I agree that poor fuel will impact the lifespan of injectors, but this is NOT limited to diesel engines only. I am sure my 1.4 Tsi Jetta (turbo and supercharged new technology motor) will complain as musch as a commonrail diesel if I put poor fuel in it.
There is no supercharger on a TSi, it stands for Turbo Stratified Injection.....Sorry, you only have a Turbo.....

The 90kw 1.4 TSI is turbo only. The 118kw TSI is both turbo and Supercharged.

The 3.0l Audi engine used in the S4 and A6 is also called a TFSI, but it runs a supercharger only...

I was really surprised when I read about this problem as the solution has been around for a decade or so. The world of Microsoft is restrictive

Most home users have pirated MS Office or others use Home & Student in business. When you use open-source freeware such as LibreOffice, you can make PDF's by clicking on an icon from within the document and never lose any formatting. It works on Linux, Mac & Windows.
