Ons gaan kamp in Nossob en vandaar vir 2 nagte na Gharagab en dan weer terug na Nossob in Junie 2019. My vraag is kan jy jou karavaan by Nossob vir twee dae stoor.

Stoor van karavaan. Ek weet van twee geleenthede waar persone hul kampsleepwaens so gestoor het by parkering by die petrolpompe.
Dalk moet jy net Nossob skakel en reŽl / bevestig.

I've been there in February. Lots of animal life and birds galore.

The scorching temperature in February is your biggest challenge.

Ons het 'n paar jaar gelede die 4x4 trail gedoen, en ek het my kampwa vir die duur daarvan by Nossob se vulstasie gestoor. Hulle had geen problem daarmee nie.

We managed to get into Twee Rivieren and Nossob without any advanced booking enroute back from Namibia just now...my experience is that they claim to be full in sprite of the campsites being only 2/3rds full...I queried it but got evasive answers...

I thought one had to have a confirmed booking for at least two days to be allowed to enter from Nambia?

They miraculously found space for our 2 nights and no more when we arrived unannounced at Mata Mata...no quibble!

    16 & 17 MM 3 sites
    18 - 21 MM 4 sites

Hi guys we are for the first time going for a week from 22 October to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park starting at Twee Revieren. Will it be very hot during the day or reasonably hot i.e. bearable. Nights will it still be very cold or ok for outside braai. Will we need warm jackets.

Also is there places where you can stop during the day where you can get out and have lunch like at Etosha which have fenced off spots and toilets

With the usual caveat that Kgalagadi weather can sometimes be difficult to forecast end of October should be HOT - no need for anything other than shorts and lots of fluid to prevent dehydration!
No warm jackets. I was there recently in October and it touched 50C! But normal temps will probably be around the 40C mark.

There are four picnic spots on the South African side - see the attached map - they are marked with a P.

The picnic spots are unfenced so take care they are a favourite spot for lion. Also a very occasional Puffadder has been seen in the toilets.

The Park is absolutely wonderful - apart from the roads.

The roads were being graded last week while we were there so one can easily do the 50km/hr if thatís what you really want to do ...

    The grading will certainly help.

My wife and I live in Durban since January 2014 but we are from Blue Bulls country so will be going to Pretoria first to pick up my kids who are going with us. My kids will be coming from work slightly early in the afternoon so I'm planning to leave say 4 p.m. And drive until about 9 and then sleep over before leaving very early to the park so will appreciate any suggestions where to sleep over. We very much just need to be able to eat, sleep and shower so any clean and safe spot will do.

If you can gun it to Upington then Oranjerus is a good option...
