I used to have a Pajero Sport and LA Sport Centurion did a lift kit for me which I was very happy with.
Modified Toyota spacer/leveling kit upfront. (35mm)
Old Man Emu shocks and springs at the rear. Ride was fantastic.

Good day all, I have been driving my Pajero sport now for almost2 and a half months, drove about 3500 km. Just an update.......
To this point in time, I am very happy with the choice I made when buying the Pajero, fuel consumption is good, luxury is good, had no problems what so ever until now. Just a few things that needs to be addressed:
    1. Suspension lift - Definitely a must do. Can someone tel me what the costs will be? Please?
    2. Performance when towing my bush trailer, maybe it is just me, not used to towing with a auto vehicle, feels like there are not enough power, specially when driving in mountain passes, as I say, maybe its just me...... I would appreciate some comment on this matter from other Pajero sport owners.

Pottie: 1, R 900 2. You need to "learn" how to use that 4 speed, third doesnt like revving high, keep it between 2000 and 3300 rpm with the tip tronic funtion, you will have good performance. You can always chip the car at SAC or DASTEC, plus minus R 5 000. The kw should increase from 125 to 140, and the NM's from 345 to just over 400.

    Cheers

Thank you for your advice, I will certainly try this. As for the suspension lift, did I read correctly, R900

Trying to buy a new manual Sport and the dealers keep trying to beat each other with quotes. Good.

The real spanner came when the Midrand guy proposed a 3000km Demo. With all the extra's there's R 20 000 difference, though the demo is white and the new is Pearl white. Now what? Swambo wants Pearl, and so do I, but 20k is nothing to be sneezed at.

Plus, as a new model(manual), everyone's done the accelerate/brake + offroad tests to write reviews and do comparisons with the tuna, and not just the normal round the block feel-it-up stuff.

    Nom nom nom nom nom....
If it flies, floats or shops, rent it.

Ok, now the demo's price has been dropped a further R 6 000, and been confirmed as Pearl White too.

So 26k difference and 3000 km. The tide has just turned...

So the demo won. I've added full VPS, extended warranty, towbar and the 'silver pack'(tinting, scotchguarding leather and paint).

Is there anything else anyone would recommend from past experience? I'm leaving the tyres for now.

Hi Pottie, I tow an of road trailer that weighs +/- 800kg's and includes a Howling Moon trailer tent so the trailer has the aerodynamics of a brick and I haven't felt it to be under powered. 10,000km of my 30,000km has been towing (Kgalagadi, Kruger, Ndumo plus many smaller trips) and its been a pleasure. Granted I came from a 2.5 Ford and the Sport was such a big improvement! I find I do use the tiptronic function when towing and gear down to 3rd as soon as I sense the vehicle is battling. There is a bit of a flat spot in 3rd at around 90km/hr so I do try and avoid that specific band.

All in all I've found it to be an absolute pleasure, enjoy!

S'true, but apparently you only get Pearl White with the new manual, so I've added VPS to the roof.

Also, decided to not go with the demo, so new car smell it is.

Good one, I've also realised that the Tuna's C-pillar is angled so it looks good both right side up and upside down.

The VPS goes all the way up the side to the top of the door frames, the roof is obviously left open - that choice is only for Tuna's as you've so kindly pointed out.

    Default Love my Pajero Sport

I also own a late 2010 face-lift, have take the 3rd row seats out to make space for the dual battery system and the fridge, towbar fitted by Safari Centre, snorkel fitted and chipped. Here is some pic's of our excursions that we have undertaken.
