If i'm honest the competition was the biggest reason.
Fortuner is not exciting enough...a bit beige.
Everest is not capable enough, and really, leaf springs?
Landy...don't get me started, I might cry. But financially (lack of maintenance plan specifically) does not make any sense, also I wanted comfort.
And I'm not much of a bakkie guy.

So in that price bracket the PS stood out as satisfying my needs (read: Wants)

Also, it had by FAR the best drive (subjective in the extreme) of all those that I tested (Defender, Hilux, Tuna, Everest, Ranger) and the dealer's service was excellent too. So, it is the most bang for my buck - also by quite long way.

Hey Bostokkelos, wanted to ask how you've found your Hancook AT's? My BFG AT's are on 70,000km and will need replacing in the next 10,000km and I'm considering the Hancooks.

I have no complaints with them. I am happy with the wet handling, and its not noisy. Will I buy again? Yes.

    Default Diff whine

    hi all

MY 2012 Sport, with 50000k's on the clock has suddenly developed an annoying diff whine ....but you can only hear it when travelling between 80 and 90 kph...if you decelerate slightly, it is very clear, however as soon as you put foot it goes away...it also dosappears at all other speeds.

has anyone else experienced anything similar...??

I have seen some articles on the Aussie Challenger forum.

    otherwise an absolutely awesome vehicle.

    cheers

We had a Outlander for 2 years and then the oil pump on the gearbox got damaged. It was in the time of the Imperial take over. So after 3 weeks of waiting we traded it for a 2009 PS with 70000km on the clock.

My wife loved it from day one. The only thing we all missed is the sound system of the Outlander. Other than that it is the best car I have ever owned. I love the shift on the move transfer case. We drive 10km gravel every day.

The PS have 98000km on now and the last free service is about 3 weeks away.

What I want to know is. Did any of the other PS owners removed the Cat and what difference does it make?

    Hallo

I would like to start off by saying that this is an awesome thread which actually convinced me to trade my triton in for a PS. I'm considering to buy cooper st maxx, but I noticed that they only come in 265/70/17. Will the tires fit with a stock suspension set up?
