Thumbs up New Jimny owning member on the way!

    Hey all!
Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and thank all the contributors to this forum, the threads have had a massive influence on my decision. So here I am, I've ordered a Jimny which I will be receiving at the end of this month. I will post the pics when I have taken delivery. (not that it would look much different to some of you okes' :-p) I will also be joining the threads to share my experiences and plans for the future.
    Will keep you posted!

It is amazing how well they sell.
I even had to wait three weeks for mine in Namibia!!!

Everyday I see more of them on the road. Haven't tested mine abilities yet, but that will soon change (middle of September in fact when it will be taming some dunes in Swakop)

Barring a few small issues (rattles and high fuel consumption), I am very happy.

Welcome and many happy miles, once you've started driving you'll find every excuse to get behind the steering wheel.

    3 places:

    1. The drivers door somewhere around the lock (I guess it is where the window and the plastic touch). Also, when driving gravel, there is a loud squeak as if metal rubs against metal.

    2. Somewhere in the front passenger aircon outlet (left)

    3. Somewhere near the front passenger seatbelt harness (part that you can adjust) I also think it might be the plastic that rattles against the left rear window.

It is not as bad as it sound above, but I am a perfectionist and it bugs the hell out of me. Just haven't had time to take it to the dealer.

    Hi All
I also recently sold my Toyota Hilux DC 3.0 D4D 4x4 automatic and acquired my Jimny. I have read some of the comments and am amazed to see that some members can travel at speeds higher than 100km/h. I only feel safe at lower speeds.Must say that it is taking getting used to after the Hilux but already I am preferring it to the Hilux in the bush. I had it lifted and replaced the tyres with A/T tyres. I am now looking at a roof rack and transfer case protector. Any contact details?

Frontrunner make excellent roof racks with a lot of attachments if you want them..

    Wizerd (Monty) for other mods.

I am a bit worried as I easily drive at 12km/h with my jimny (not more than that) but I certainly do not struggle to achieve 120km/h.

am I breaking my Jimny at this speed?
