Dit werk makliker, goedkoper, goedkoper om te sweis, ens........
Net 15%? Sjoe, sou gedink het dis meer. Verstaan wat jy bedoel met sweis, ens.

Elk geval; respek vir die workmanship; ek sal by jou kom aanklop as ek die dag so iets benodig!

    Not much,

I did not like the "square" look of the canopy, building one with pipes cut into quaters now....

Pretty much just doing myself no favours!!! I must be mad, but it is going to be nice.....

I would also like to make myself a canopy for a single cab new ford ranger.
Yours looks neat and simple. What did you use for the exoskeleton and what do you mean using quarter pipe ? I think if I had to make this I would like to just make the back part by the tailgate more roundish. I am talking about the corner where you did a cut out in the upright. I wish I could find a profile like a piece of angle iron that is more rounded and not at 90 degrees. Is this what you are referring to

    Default New Canopy......

Here are some pictures, when I started, have not really advanced a lot since then, tooooooo many other distractions..

    I Used a 140 x 3mm pipe, which I quatered, the top and front is made from a 50 x 2mm tubing which I then quatered......

Will post more pictures as I progress, however slowly

If you do put in leave...let me know so I can do the same and let you help me build the frame of mine

I was thinking of overcoming the round end obstacle with carefully placed sqr tubing at 45degree angles.

When I did the canopy on the 80, I also quartered a pipe to get rounded edges. Well worth the effort.

I just found that to keep thing 100% symmetrical is quite tricky. Measure 3 times, cut and tac once. Then remeasure and tac again......

SL, it doesn't take that long. I did mine over a weekend.

Just knuckle down and get stuck into it.

Just one small tip. DON'T MAKE COMPROMISES. Make it the way you want it. NO EFFORT SPARED.
