    Default Baie eina

Darem geen structural damage nie, maar agterste suspension, diff, as, propshaft, gearbox moet vervang word. Kon darem gearbox met 80 000km op kry vir 7,500. Nuwe een by ford is 15,500 wat belaglik is.
Sal nuwe fotos opsit as hy reg is.

Bees28, So het my worshond V6 gelyk na sy onderonsie met 'n Dyna Trokkie. Ek het sommer daar en dan besluit ek gaan hom laat "Pimp-my-Ride" terwyl hy by die paneelkoppers was.

I agree though, towing heavy loads does strain the gearbox, and towing in 5th gear for extended periods will kill the gearbox - remember 5th is not a working gear, but overdrive...
I tow a lot of heavy vehicles 4 & 5 ton trucks without any problems just remember you 4th gear is a 1 to 1 ratio so a soon as the vehicle takes strain put it back in to 4th gear to remove the strain from your gearbox and also help with engine running cooler

On Sunday ,12 July, a group of 4x4 people invited me along for the Hartbeespoort Boat club 4x4 jol.
The venue was , well, challenging! The Magaliesberg mountains are tougher than they look from below. We had to build a section of track to pass.
This was 1st gear low range mountaineering all the way.
We had lunch overlooking Hartbeespoort Dam.
The road down was even tougher; down a kloof at 38 degrees...touch the brakes and nothing will stop you!

Sold the Ranger and bought the F250 (needed the extra space).

Hierdie foto is geneem by die Steenbokskeerkring klip net noord van Mopani kamp in KNP.

BTW, the complete hunting frame of the Ranger is for sale; didn't fit on big brother.

Hi there! I've had some of the parts lined up for a while now but I'm having 2nd thoughts of officially destroying any hopes of some resale value for the truck. Haha!

I've actually been thinking about selling the truck and getting a Patrol GQ LWB. (just toying around with the idea)

Also, I have contacted someone from Thailand and am considering this IFS lift kit as well. Just to keep it from being a mix of parts.

Check out the IFS lift kit. It's for 7inches (i wish they had a 5inch kit though)... If I do get this, i will be changing to new leaves at the rear and not employing the lifter blocks of the kit.

I know it will not perform as well as the SAS but hey....http://www.btv4x4.com/index.php/2009...-02-56-47.html
