    Mr Ranger,

It was done by 4xTech in Brackenfell in Cape Town and it set me back about R27 500. I also had a 75mm body lift done, rear diff ratio changed to that of the Toyota diff ratio. All in all it was R36 000. Now that I know what needs to be done, I will do it again but myself.

So we went playing at UPE fence yesterday. Decided to clean jagtflakte's mud off my chassis. Once wasn't enough so just to be sure I had to go through again

    Its ok. Thanks for reply.

They look good. The tyres on mine are around 29" tall (they are in metric size) but they look quite small. I've been looking round at new wheels / tyres but not sure what the biggest I can fit is. I know a 31" will fit but not sure about 32". I have raised the front by nearly 2" and same on rear

Did your rims fit with no problems? (Im guessing they are 15"?) I have been told by one place that the calipers would catch on the rim if I got 15s? But I've got 15s on at min so not sure how true that is

If you or anyone has any info it would be a big help

    @ MAT ENGLAND

By the looks of things, you should manage to fit 32s but we cant be sure. I would say turn your steering full lock and see how much space you have between tyre and fender/wheel-arch.. then try and guage from there.

As for the rims, I had no problem fitting them and yes they are 15". I have actually fitted several different rims/mags to the vehicle and never had a caliper issue. My father has a later model which comes standard with 16" rims and even he has fitted 15" rims to his temporarily. I really doubt you'll have a problem...

    Hi
    thanks for the feedback.
I went to see a guy who only sells 4x4 tyres and we tried a few combinations of different wheels and tyres and I eventually decided on 16" rims with a 7mm offset which brings them out a bit. The tyres are 265x75 R16 Insa Turbo Dakar (MT). These are 31.7" Tall x 10 1/4" Wide.

I can confirm that (for anyone else who may be unsure):

-a 15" rim will fit but only if it has a 25mm offset (the zero offset touched my rear drums)
-31x10.5" R15 Fits with no modification
-32x11.5" R15 Fits with a small section cut out on front arch and bumper mounts removed
-265x75 R16 Fits with a small trim of front bumber mounts

The 265x75 R16's worked out to be the most cost effective and more readilly available than the 32"s so I went for them

WOW! That look much better than your previous biscuits. And with the black rims!!! I'm also thinking of making my rims black. I have 31x10.5" R15 Muds on my Ranger and the bigger tyres makes a massive difference in looks...and performance
The first pic is just when the new tyres were fitted.
The second pic is what happened this far en what's going to happen. This was when we measured the lift at the back for fitting extended shackles... (this will now only happen once my overheating issues is sorted out )
