Default My Unimog build up thread

I have quite a bit of work to do but here we go. Moffieknoppies en al!! Dis n joint venture en joint ownership. Looking for something to tow the Datsun and when the mog cant go anymore I can take the datsun further.

404 with newly rebuilt 4.1 chef engine. There were not many units that came with the 2 doors in supercab configuration.

    So remove and repair rust
    Build 2 new back doors
    Redo electrical
    Modern dashboard
    remove plough and bumper
    New interior
    15 000lbs winch
    respray and away we go.

It will be slow as I must first finish the Datsun and then the mog. Any ideas will be welcome.

    4.1 Chev. Sies.

    Give it back a diesel.

You will have to leave a week in advance. That thing's topend is about 80.

But then. It DOES go anywhere.

    I support that.
The only person I have ever known to get 'Mog stuck was a troepie in the operational area (1 Military Area, if memory serves me) in a time of heavy rains back in '76 or thereabouts. You have to work hard at it to do that!

I suggest you don't put that MB motor back in. Find a nice 250hp motor. Scania, Cummins, Man, Daf, Deutz. Anything. But just up the power. Then you can load all your Datsuns and bring them to the river.

    Something like this

    http://udte.heavytruckparts.net/deta...&vehicle=42923

    230hp. Cummins.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with the diesel sentiments

    Ek is jaloers, Herman !!!
