    Oih, where to start

(and this is in no particular order!)

Proper service on engine, gearbox, transfer case, diffs etc. (I think it was last serviced in '85 )
    McGuyver a new winch controller
    Repair oil pressure guage
    Repair temp guage
New schocks (Possibly springs, will see)
    Fix heater
And I''m sure I will still find many other problems
Redo upholstery (Seats are a bit deurgesit!!!)
    Fit RTT, dual battery
    Fit shower for the boss

No work to chassis (as a bonus it has been galvanised )

So, many happy hours of tinkering

    I cant wait...

    Default My pic...

This is my second Defender, I had the previous 110 S/W for 10 years.

I have had this one since October last year and have taken it to Lesotho three times and enjoyed every minute.

    Hi.

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd start by posting a picture of Mr. Chuffy, my SIII SWB.

Nice to see you here Michelle. Olivia's looking better than some of the reports we've heard over the past few weeks!

    Thanks JeepOnly.

I'm pretty crazy about my landy myself.

Olive Rover, I found the avatar here: http://www.series2club.co.uk/graphics.htm

I thought it was the most appropriate one :-)

I took the plunge, and sold the TD5 and the Platkar, and this is my new baby.

    Default 1977 S3 109 rebirthed

This single cab has been in the "family" for more than 25 years! The last year was spent stripping her like a mecano set, fixing and replacing. Now a beautiful weekend vehicle.

Another newbie here. Just spent 9 months working in Arusha, Tanzania. Some pics of "Mzee" ("the wise old one" in Swahili) taken whilst up in East Africa. Done 30000km from Cape Town to Arusha and back ... no punctures, no breakdowns ... just kept running and still runs like a dream ... surely the best 4x4xfar.

Herbie is a 1993 V8 Disco - basically standard on the surface, but with a few nice things fitted under the skin. Full OME suspension, 2x35 Lt long range fuel tanks, NL Duel Battery Management system with 70AH deep cycle battery and Hella plugs in load bay, Compressor fitted in engine bay, roof rack with awning.

He takes us all over - mostly trails around Western Cape area so far, but longer trips planned shortly!
