I almost think we are the only LR people with a red one on this forum. I love the colour on your car. I just think my RR will have a hard time getting to that paint condition as it is almost 3 different types of red. But it gives it character.

I wonder if we have a forum member with the LR of my dreams.

I think the Defenders 90 look ###### nice in these colours. But it may also just be me thinking like this.

Thanks RR. I paid a bit to much for her but I wanted it for the colour.

Hi Bruce, at the moment only a Series III SWB which is in storage. The others are either now my Fathers or have been sold...

Default been out and about since Sat

Been out and about since the weather hit on Saturday.

Pic one: My Landy and some mates

Sat took some new guys to Atlantis, they had fun, was keen to see how the Condor handled - pleasantly surprised, the wind was a major factor though, still got sand in some strange places, (worse than exiting a bad beachbreak at hakgat - surfers will know what I mean)

    Pic 2:

    Yesterday headed for the snow.
This is drift/ river crossing at Slanghoek, reportedly where the rescue of occupants from washed away vehicle took place prev day.

    Pic 3:

Did my first trip up Matroosberg yesterday, still snowing, still lots to learn but enjoyed it immensely. Celebrating the first birthday of owning my Landy.

Pic 4: shortcut over Zonqwasdrif from Gouda to Riebeeck Kasteel, decided that there was only trouble brewing here and turned back. Amazing that no signs posted to say road closed. Would not like to have hit this torrent last night at 70km/h in the dark with no warning.

All in all a fantastic playground we have in the Western Cape, made even better after some severe weather.

    Slanghoek
    Where's Slanghoek?

Do you perhaps have coordinates for those two river crossings?

don't have a gps, still using maps

Slanghoek as I see it on Google: 33 20 31 39 S and 18 58 42 41 E, essentially it is the shortcut from N1 to Ceres, ie exit DuToits Kloof, turn right to Rawsonville, then Goudini, go around Slanghoekberg to cross the Bree River.

Zonquasdrift: 33 32 35 30 S and 19 12 27 77 E, road turnoff from R46 heading direction Worcestor from Tulbach, turnoff is at Voelvlei dam, turn right, cross railway onto gravel road, about 4km to Berg river and Zonquasdrift crossing, road heads on to Riebeeck Kasteel. Have not done it before in crossing conditions, but by the look of the pumpstation telemetry solar antenna sticking out ,the road was some way under the river.

    Hope that this helps

Slanghoek is just past Goudini on the road of the Goudini Spa.
