Readysteadygo - your report brings back memories from my trip through Malawi in '90, our hoenymoon in '94 and then the 6 week SA-ZW-Moz-Mal-ZW- Bots-SA. trip over x-mas holiday '98-'99.
Fantastic! Our kids are still talking about Monkeybay, the fishing Fish Eagles and the Zomba plateu with the ghostlike Rainforest on the top!

Hi Rankadid, I think its time for your next trip. Monkey Bay is a lot more crowded than it was apparently some years ago. We really enjoyed Cape Maclear/Chembe even though it doesn't have the remoteness that one would like. We quite enjoyed being part of the local village life, with still some peace & privacy (in the form of a private beach) at Chembe Eagle's Nest. Regards. RSG
