Indeed, but actually just waiting for the new one to arrive from USA. It should be here end of this week, or early next week.

That gives us roughly an hour and a half of sun light to drive which is fine. Who can make this time and who would prefer it go have a bash on Sunday rather?

Saturday 9 June: The Algoa Toyota 4x4 club is driving Maitland Mines so we will be driving with them.

Sunday 10 June: Possibly drive the fence on this day rather than Friday. Up to you guys.

Saturday 16 June: In celebration of Stuckfest that was on the 18th last year we will be having the 1 year Anniversary and going out to Malabar for round 2.
So what is happenng this weekend? Any takers for Friday or Sunday at the UPE Fence?

My vote is for Sunday morning...?

I think this the adjusted plan:

Sat 9th: Maitland mines - Algoa Toyota
Sun 10th: UPE Fence - I'm thinking meet at 12:30 and drive at 1pm so those going to church in the morning can make it. If the weather is ok we might light a little fire somewhere there.

Sat 16th: Stuckfest Reunion: We going to do Malabar in the morning, say 9am and then drive until 12. Then I want to go through to the Algoa Toyota club where fires will be lit and big screen on for the SA v England rugby. I just have to clear that with the club.

Ok so firstly, who's in for the Fence drive on Sunday?

I normally enter from Marine Drive just before Noordhoek if you come from the Summerstrand side. There where the sand is a bit over the side of the road, a hump of sand, there is normally a guy selling braai wood there. Just follow the UPE fence from there.

Some of the guys enter from Summerstrand.

    Nic Dude,

Saterday 16th is club clean-up. What is the story of going for a drive then come to the club??

Bring jou kant Ingelsman. Invite everybody to the clean-up and then go for a ride on Sunday, if you can after a full day at the club.

Johan, you will be absolutely fine. I've seen datsun 1400 bakkies go through there, the more difficult stuff is easy to go around too. This will be a great couple drives for any beginners out there. We will help anyone who wants to learn. Once you've done the fence (sand) and malabar (rock/gravel) you'll have a lot more confidence to come out on the bigger trails like brakkeduine and off camber.

Haha Paul, well my thinking was that these guys aren't members of the club so while you guys are busy cleaning we'll be out and then once you've sorted out your stuff we'll come in and support the bar and meet everyone.

I will be entering from Marine drive side....most of the roads have been blocked off from Summerstrand side and I prefer not to go in between the houses and draw attention....just trying to preserve our playgrounds for as long as possible.

    Hi MikeS,

Our Vice chairman is responsible for a club clean-up every year. Or more if needed. He does the planning and buy all the equipment needed. Then we as members come toghether and do maintanance on the club building and surroundings, paint where we need to and build where we can. We also arrange for someone to make brunch while we work.

The plan is to do it the 16th and to make a fire, watch the pink boks play the inglish and braai something.

You are welcome to join us after your drive. Club members that arrive after the drive will pay a small penalty at the bar.

Ok guys, been chatting to Juan here, I think maybe we should drive on Sunday at Malabar and then go and watch the rugby and help the Algoa guys out at the club on Saturday. Juan will be making a potjie at the club as well.

    So then the proposed plans:

Sat 9th: Maitland mines - Algoa Toyota trip. If anyone want to join then message me. I won't be making it unfortunately. Juan might be going though.

Sun 10th: UPE Fence - Meet at 12:30 and drive at 1pm so those going to church in the morning can make it. If the weather is ok we might light a little fire somewhere there. Contendors:
    1) Myself - Cherokee Okie
    2) Juan (Bushfire) - Bos toe Ranger
    3) Barto (Zantus) - Surprise
    4) Heinrich (HeinrichC) - Wrangler
    5) Mike (MikeS) - Grand Cherokee veee8
    6) Steve (ScubaSteve) - Vrotuna
    7) Johan (johan.grobler) - Titan Triton

Sat 16th: Stuckfest Reunion part 1: Algoa Toyota club is having a clean up, maintenance, building day at the clubhouse. They are starting early (like 9 in the morning) and if there is anyone keen to lend a hand we are encouraging it, its the least we can do for them since they open the club to the forum guys every week. There fires will be lit and big screen on for the SA v England rugby and Juan will me making his world famous curry pork potjie with rice for everyone for R20 a person. Kids and families are welcome to join. This is an excellent chance to meet everyone and put names to faces, check out the vehicles and talk some 4x4. Put down what you are keen for:
    1) Juan, swambo and ninjas- chief cook and bottle washer, wekka and rugby
    2) Myself, swambo and ninja - wekka and rugby

Sun 17th: Stuckfest Reunion part 2: We drive Malabar in the morning. Details to follow if everyone is still keen.
    1) Myself
    2) Juan
