Well it says overcast but not much rain predicted for tomorrow. So it doesn't look like you'll be getting wet Barto.

Thats for sure, and maybe if it IS raining we can go take a drive up Swartkops instead of doing the fence. It will be lots of fun

What you reckon Dirk, Barto and Juan? We can have our own reunion then

There's a gate to that area now close to the brick works AFAIK, maybe Dirk has more info, he went in there a few months ago when I small plane landed in that area.

Guys, I'm out for the day, feels like PHN drove over me in his Jeep. And no, it is not a hangover, but a bad case of flu.

I think he's still sleeping. Weather looks like a go for UPE fence at 12:30 but I'll wait for him to confirm

Okay so it looks like we will be a go for today, being totally new to 4x4ing and never been to the UPE fence before, what conditions can be expect after the rain we have had? Will there be lots of standing water or would it have seeped away leaving just damp sea sand

Don't worry, no deep water. There will be a nice mini-lake behind the houses though. Its just spitting here in Mill park, I don't imagine its going to rain much though. I say its a go for 12:30, we'll meet at the Spar car park on the corner of Admiralty and Buffelsfontein.

    ... Strandfontein...

Where do you expect to gain entry to the area from this side? Last week I drove around that upper part of Summerstrand and all the entries looks blocked off...

    Nick, that's Strandfontein, not Buffelsfontein

Anyway, I'm out....got some stuff I must do at work and it's more than expected

I'll make sure the Vit is ready for next Sunday, must get a temporary driver's side mirror and the brakes must be bled....they're just ok for sand, but for Malabar they need to be working much better! Just hope it's air in the system and not something else.
