Default River trip in August. Final arrangements

The river trip is now finalised and the arrangements is as follows.

    Thursday 9 August.

We meet at the Petropoort on the N1 high way at 7hoo. This Petro poort is the ons about 5km past the Zambesi off ramp on your way to Warmbaths. We will then depart from Petropoort at 8h00 to Giyani. We can then fill up at Giyani and set off to the Molotots. No need to carry extra fuel as 1 tank will be more than sufficient.

Depending on how long it taks us to do the Molotots we may do the Klein Letaba as well or a piece of it. Those who do not want to do the Klein Letaba as well, is welcome to leave for home.

This is not a commercially organised trip and there is no tour leader. I asked Johan to assiste us as he knows the area and speaks the local lingo.

Very important!!! Please no trailers is allowed on this trip due to the terrain. We will be camping in the river bed at night and there is no ablusions at all, so be fully self reliant. You will have to carry your own drinking water as well.

    Regards to all

Andre is organizing it. It is just for the long weekend, we will meet at the Petroport and drive from there on the 9th. Think he said maximum of 10 4x4's on the trip. This is not a trail. We will also bushcamp the whole time.

Spoke with Andre, he says that we can take 10 to 12 for the trip. Molotots is very technical, so some experience is needed for this trip.

The long weekend of August 9 - 12. Andre will confirm the final arrangements before the trip, but you can get a general overview of everything on the first post.

Everybody is getting together at the petroport. I will be 500km north.

Where is the first point that I can cut into the "convoy"?

I'm 500km to the south east. I'm sure we will be able to arrange a spot for the 2 of us to fall into with the convoy.
I just need to get a 29Meg radio fitted before then.
Sofar it's myself and my 3 year old son going. Wife chickened out. Maybe my boy will chicken out aswell. Then I'll have a open seat.
