"during the second week of the month Jupiter, Venus and Mercury remain within 5º of each other, and are particularly close on the mornings of the 11th and 12th. For keen observers, it will be a pleasure to watch the relative positional shift of these planets from one morning to the next during this particular week. On the 30th an arch of the Earth's close neighbours can be seen in the predawn sky, starting with Mercury very low in the east, a very bright Venus higher up, Mars even higher and topped off with a waning crescent moon about 10º above the horison."
