    Default WJ Radio Cables

My previous owner did me the great favour of fitting an aftermarket radio in my WJ and then cutting of all the plugs and cables that was connected to the factory unit.

I now bought a nice original radio and shuttle for a WJ and am starting to see where I can get all the cables and plugs to have my "new" original radio re-fitted.

According to http://www.wjjeeps.com/audioupgrade.htm I need (amongst others) :

Replacing the original wire harness that plugs into the factory radio. Scosche also makes a reverse adaptor of the CR-01, model CR-01R. This harness plugs directly in to the back of 1999-2001 factory head units and has bare wires on the other end to splice into the vehicle radio harness wiring. This would be useful in cases where the factory wiring near the radio has been damaged or the connector has been cut off. Scosche CR-01R (see attached picture).

I also need the DIN cable running from the radio to the shuttle in the back (although it is available at the stealers for R490 ).

The rest of the cables use more standard plugs that I can get at electronics shops.

Any ideas where I can get some/all of the cables ?

I found the wire harness cables : http://stores.ebay.com/Autoware302/W..._sid=226341785

The CD changer cable looks like it will have to come from the stealers or : http://www.justforjeeps.com/8rorto8sqcdc.html

The studs to hold fasten the CD Shuttle bracket to the body (http://www.wjjeeps.com/radio_cdch10s.jpg) is apparently not available anywhere in SA from Jeep/Chrysler.

This seems to be the part number of the studs : P/N 6505002AA
and is included in a bracket kit for the shuttle : P/N 82204864 (http://jeephowto.com/wj/cdch_brkt_82204864.jpg)

Oliver, I don't think R490 is excessive for the shuttle cable. I was quoted more than that 8 years ago for a cable between a Kenwood head unit and Shuttle. In my case the head unit was stolen from the car and the wires cut in the process.

I guess not, but it sure felt expensive as I wanted to make it up myself. I had the cable pinouts and everything, the only problem was to find the plug on the shuttle side. I eventually ordered it through Jeep, was R535 in total.
