Have you got directions to this quarry...I live in Zinkwazi and would love to go up there...or co-ordinates?

There is nothing in the Zinkwazi area (40km north of Ballito) that I know of, except Amitikulu which as 'bvandyk' said earlier, you can probably do in a platkar! Does anyone perhaps know any different?

Quite nice, nothing too hectic in the reserve area.. except for one really overgrown section that will scratch the car and doesn't go to where its supposed to go (back entrance to the bridge 4x4 route)..

It's a nice drive, very similar to Gwahumbe.. having a braai on the island in the middle of the lake is awesome though.

If you up to it can do a trip to the red dunes on the wild coast. From Sheppie it 120km. Summer time with some rain is the best since the roads can get really slippery.

We have done Red Dunes many times.

    Awesome drive.

But my understanding is that we cant do that anymore for legal reasons.

If we can that would be the ultimate outing.

Do you have any info on this.

Would be epic if we can still do this legally.

Lots of guys around here fish that area, and we have to cross those dunes to get there, no signs up yet stopping anyone, so can't answer you there.

    Hello Guys.
Went to Gwahumbe Game lodge & Spa. Got bogged down in clay due to weekend rain. Thanks to Brian & his family in trying assist with recovery. 2 Broken tow ropes later & still stuck in the mud. Thanks to the guys from Gwahumbe, their tractor & a chain, I was finally free.. WHAT A CLASSIC EXPERIENCE.. Loved it to bits..
The trail is lekker, not too challenging, most vehicles with a bit of ground clearance should manage. Maybe they should avoid the river crossing only. ELSE.. well worth it. Quite a few buck to see, & lekker picnic spots.
