The FSD's are a road focused shock for stock suspension heights - VERY good shocks. Same tech as on a F1 Mclaren.

The Koni Heavy Track is the All Terrain shock but I don't think you can get them for a WJ. These are what I initially wanted for my XJ, but there was nothing available for mine with a 2 inch lift.

Ok cool, we need new shocks for our WJ and have not decided yet.. I am trying to convince my dad to go for the zone 2" spacer kit.. He just says to take it to jeep and get them to replace with dealer stock shocks..

Then you need to work on your powers of persuasion . Stock shocks are crap compared to some of the aftermarket stuff that is available.

I cannot fault the Zone shocks (I have the nitros). I am really stoked with how good they are (& I punish mine )

Problem is he hates off road 4x4ing.. So...... Cause with the zone lift it will need some 245/65/17 a/t tires to replace the dueler hp sports it's got on it

LOL I joked about that the other day, he hates 4x4ing & has 3 awesome 4x4's..

The Pajero we got in 2000 for use at the holiday house & beach driving..
Now its all rusted & crappy, so he got the D1 to replace it, but kept the pajero as its worth R2.5 in this economy so no point selling it..

The Jeep we got a 2000/1 3.1TD limited GC in about 2003/4 from a car dealer client of his who at the time said if we use it for a few months & don't like it we would be able to sell it easy to get our money back as we got it for a good price.. 6 months later after it sat for 4 months at the dealer it was unsold.. so only way to get rid of it was traded it in on the current jeep in 2005...

I dont mind as the Pajero & D1 he lets me go explore with The jeep he has let me do Groenkloof before & he came with & tried the other day for his first 4x4 experience & said its his & the jeeps last.. too many rocks scraping & hitting the underside (due to his lack of experience as I did the trail a bit before & did not scrape it nearly as much underneath)

Finally! I have finally taken the plunge and am now the proud new owner of a patriot blue 2002 WJ 4.7 Overland

It is the one I had a few questions about the other day with a "bit" over 200k on the clock but it is really in great condition.

It took me six months to find the specific WJ that satisfied 90%+ of my requirements. And guess what, it eventually showed up right in my own backyard!

Now my thirst for owning a rumbling american v8 is satisfied, keeping the Jeep's thirst satisfied is an entirely different story

Congratulations, and a lovely colour that suits the WJ very well.
Fuel consumption is not so bad if you drive it sensibly, but that would only happen after you get used to the kick in the back and the V8 pulse.

I would recommend to anyone keeping an older 4x4 going to invest in a fault code reader. They are about R750 and allow you to read and clear codes. It can be really helpful to know why a check engine light is on, and helps point you in the right direction. Even if you take it to be worked on by someone else you know what potting.

Also if you have the fault code between google and this forum you can almost get anything fixed/diagnosed.

    Best of luck
Primarily (currently) the vehicle will be a day to day family vehicle.
Secondary, well as soon as I have the time available I'm gonna use it for some recreational 4x4 outings as well. But that will probably only happen in December

The fuelly info in your signature has been scaring me for a while already... Probably a good idea for me to start using fuelly now as well. Hopefully it will be a tad better
