And then some poor bugger buys the vehicle second hand and wonders why Range Rovers rust.

Why you stuck? There's a perfectly good recovery vehicle parked right next to you

Get a normal pull strap/rope as well. It is not always nessasary to snatch.

Not me They decided to pull their bakkie closer their their picnic spot on the beach....was'nt happy when I told them I should actually phone the cops, then help them. (Problem is I doubt the police would have a clue what to do!)

Unfortunately I haven't got a pic of my most spectacular stuck episode a few year ago as the camera decided to go for a swim during the process.... it was lying inside the landy!! (R10k camera fubar)

This happened at Melkbos a few days after a challenge and i got sucked into waterish mud up to the windows where some or other nitwit with a challenge vehicle thought it would be funny to make some deep tracks in the, then, harder mud. Tried to tow, snatch, winch, winch double line and at first the tractor couldn't even get me out. Eventually it got me out. Luckily no damage and all that salty mudwater sprayed off thoroughly immediately.

Hey, it's "Be Kind to Old Toppies" week

The guy has probably never heard of 4x4s, and might have seen other "bakkies" driving on the beach, so probably figured he can do it too!

Saw a similar thing at Sesriem a few years ago but at least they had an excuse - they were all pissed. Was reluctant to help because had a few Tafelís myself but we assisted in the end.
