    Default Anyone recognise this trailer?

This was at Baines Baobabs in Botswana on the 20th of December last year. I would have loved to help them, but there was no-one in sight. The winch was pulled out all the way, and still about 70m short of the closest dry land.

We went to the Nxai Pan Gate (35km away) and they did not even know about the vehicle. I would love to know who it was, what happened, and what was done about it.

I also laughed when I thought it was a Landy, but unfortunately, by closer inspection saw it was a Cruiser Pick Up....

Anyone recognise the number plates? FLR 947 N is the trailer...

Ongelukkig word mense taai as jy dit noem.

Geen probleem met alleen by Atlantis rondry nie, solank jy 'n graaf het en bereid is om 'n paar ure lank uit te grou...

I've been on my own - nothing wrong with it, as Renier has said, as long as you are prepared to dig if you get stuck and don't do silly things like the horseshoe and figure 8 sideways

Now it's even easier with the forum recovery assistance if needed

Nine times out of 10 when people get stuck at AD, their tyre pressure is wrong. Deflating the tyres normally sees them on their way again.

Getting stuck on the "peak" of a dune shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get out. Practice getting stuck and knowing the correct place to dig, helps alot.
You can move a hell of a lot of sand in 30 minutes. Having a real spade helps, not those play play fold up ones...

I dont get it, from the picture it doesnt look possible to get a vehicle to spin so deeply into sand? Ive never been there before, so dont know the conditions, from the photo the area looks like normal dry sand, but the only way I can think a vehicle can get so stuck is if the sand is completely water logged?Like a marsh. Is this the case?

It is in the water - look carefully, you can see where the water ends and the beach begins in the distance.

    Default Condor recovery

Mudslingers always has some thing up it's sleeve. Beeing recoverd in the wrong direction could lead to some serious fun and a lot of helping hands.

    Condor was at 35 degrees.

The majority of the time it seems that a Landy gets 'stuck' in the garage.
This time my clutch system needed fixing, stuck in there for a week, but luckily I 'self recovered'! No snatch straps or winches needed for my landy, just a couple spanners and elbow grease!

This was at Olifants River Last Year. A total of 6 vechiles got stuck trying to get me out. Two Jeeps with 4-ton winch couldnt move me ( one at a time) Another guy with a duke (not sure of tonnage) eventually got me out. Total time was about 5hr's.
