Hi Van Emmenis, we were keen on taking a group up on 16 July but had cancellations from potential participants so had to postphone the event.

We are targeting 20th August as the next potential date.

    Leon

Ja, was aware of the 16th, Shane informed me that you had to cancel.
I am tempted to try it, but for the next Rhino we'll perhaps only come as spectators.
I can refer you to someone who runs a JK as an Emergency Response vehicle that you could perhaps consider for your future events.

    Default Rhino Challenge - 10 May 2014

Well, well.... Perhaps it is time for another Rhino Challenge?!

We are looking at 10th May as a tentative date for this event. If you are interested in taking on the Rhino Challenge then please study this threat carefully. If you are still convinced that you are up for this, and if your vehicle meet the minimum requirements (see post #1) below then sign up.

    Some important points to consider.

    1) The Rhino Challenge is extremely challenging, and dangerous at that. During the past four years just four vehicles attempted the climb. All of these succeeded, partially because it is taken seriously with lots of preparation ahead of time. Participants and their vehicles are pre screened so as to ensure that every possible measure is taken to have a safe and successful event.

    2) This is a controlled event, a maximum of five vehicles and minimum of three vehicles are required to participate. The entry fees are used largely to cover costs associated with emergency services and equipment required on the day.

    3) Briefing sessions will be conducted with the participants well in advance of the event. (If you think we are taking this too seriously then read Sakkie's post #42) If you've never personally seen the Rhino Challenge, then let's meet there at our mutual convenience before you decide to take it on.

So, please calendar the 10th May if you wish to be a spectator. As can be seen, a few items must come together before the event can take place but we look forward to seeing a great event on the day.

    Kom kyk enige tyd!

Well, ok just to be fair.... Perhaps I should ask a completely objective guy (Apocalypse' name springs to mind) whether I am making a fair observation.

LOL, agbare Herminator.

Franz, I was ABOUT to say that I was worried that you would be leading Manny into temptation and should consider removing your post and then sowaar there Wayne goes and pops the dirty question.

nie.

sand so omgeploeg dat selfs n Unimog sou vasval? In elk geval, lees weer

Nou toe nou.
