Commander, we are planning the first attempt with a limited number of interested offroaders for 26 March. Working out all the details at the moment, so PM me if you wish to come along on the day. It is definitely worth seeing a car go up and down the Rhino. (Only thing, this time I don't want to be inside it!! )

Mitsu man, we will limit the number of spectators on the day. However, I will PM you to make arrangements for you to be there if you so wish.

Just say when, Alex. How about putting a trip together with XJJ, Gunhog and other members down there?

I am looking at doing a trip to CT in April so as to play in the Atlantis dunes and will post nearer the time to see if other forum members feel like joining.

So you wont try it in your DII either with the rear locker and CDL?
I'm sure you will make it

I think hgbosch must go and try the Rhino challenge, he's got front and rear locker and a 300tdi with Thrustmax fitted and he did training in the Swiss army or something.
    I'll PM him this thread...

    Default Update...

Preparations are going well for the 26 March event at the Berakah Rhino Challenge. Herewith a few notes for general information:-

    • One more slot available for anyone to attempt the Rhino Challenge on 26 March. We would like to limit the number of participants to five on this first occasion.
    • Spectators welcome, however, we may have to limit the number attending. About ten forum members have indicated thus far that they would like to attend on a spectator basis. Spectators will be paying the standard R250 fee per car and this will allow them access to the Berakah trail as well.
    • We are planning an information session at the Megaworld Vaal business premise within the next two weeks. (Date TBA) The purpose will be to guide participants through the available footage and will share our experience of the Rhino in preparation of the event.
    • Members that have future aspirations to be attempting the Rhino are welcome to PM us so as to arrange attendance of the information session.
    • We will need a few Marshalls on the day of the event to perform a variety of tasks. Kindly let us know if you are interested in being involved.
Our event coordinator is Shane Gunter, he can be reached at our office number.

    Best regards.

Anyone else that wishes to attempt the Rhino Challenge on 26 March?

Two of the participants had to withdraw due to unforseen cirumstances and arranged to participate at the next event.

This Saturday morning we will be hosting an information session at the premises of Megworld Vaal in Vanderbijlpark.

PM us if you would like to attend, be it as spectator, participant or future participant.
