    Default Mozambique via Jozini

    hey all....
    i am planning to go to moz via jozini in april, will be 2x 4x4 and one 2x4.
    wot i would like to find out is the road for the 2x4, is it going to be a problem??
    should we do another route??
    any things we should look out for and any info with regards to route,border crossing etc..
    any info will be helpfull,our trip is to go all the way up to the top of moz. good idea or bad

    We traveled this road in April last year when visiting Kosi Bay. Plenty of large potholes and some stray animals. Did not cross the border though.

    Gillman, As long as you've got recovery equipment it wouldn't be a problem.

    It is only sand roads, a 4x2 would be ok. There is just one big dune to get over when you go to Ponta du Oura. I know the road between Maputo and Ponta had been rebuild and can be driven with a 4x2 no problem.

    BE AWARE!

    During December there were some hijackings near Kozi, even a convoy of 4 vehciles were hijacked. It is also a common thing for SA vehicles to be taken in Moz.
