Gear Ratios

Hi guys

Can someone help explain gear ratios...

For Example, if Vehicle A has a 1st gear ratio of 1, and Vehicle B has a 1st Gear Ratio of 1.5, which 1st gear will be the one with more pulling power ?

alos what is meant by the final drive ratio ? diff/gearbox ratio combined ?

1.5 will have more pulling power. The bigger the number= the LOWER the ratio= more grunt. The proper term is torque multiplication. The grunt of your motor is being multiplied by the gear ratio.

Final drive is your diff.
