Glad to see you made it to our great forum

Attaching image files between the only works to attach file that is present on a website somewhere, not on your PC's harddrive. The second photo that you attached with the upload function is they way to do it from your PC. Otherwise you can upload your pics to a picture hosting site like http://www.myimagehub.com/

Hope you come right, or PM me if you still struggle

    Regards

    Wink My new ride

Seeing that no one picked up on the small pic I posted last week, here is some larger ones of my new ride.

It is a 2003 3.5 GLS Automatic 5 Door and had 115000 kms on when I received it last weekend.

It has a National Luna Duel battery system, Front Runner extra tank giving it a total of almost 140 litres capacity and some or other boot liner thing in the back.

It was generally well cared for with only minor little things that need some attention.

Congratulations, she looks great. I hope that she will give you as many and as pleasurable miles as your BMW(platkar) did and that when you sell it one day you will also be so nostalgic about it.

Have you filled up that long range tank ? I got my 2004 Diesel some 2 weeks ago (Don't have a photo yet ) and it has the same tank fitted (Front Runner). I however battled my but off to get it filled.

Yes I filled it up the other day. I thought the long range tank was empty but the vehicle only took 92 odd litres, so I also thought that the fuel did not go into the secondary tank or that there were some special procedure. It was filled up to the brim.

When I got home, I then took my creeper and got underneath the van and checked it out. It has a T-piece in the pipe just below the petrol cap so both tanks must be full before the fuel will come up to the mouth. Once I drove the tank down to about the 3/4 mark I switched on the pump and let it ran for a couple of minutes. It is a funny feeling driving a car with the fuel gage moving upwards Then when it showed full again I switched the pump off and was sure it worked. But I suspected that there were still fuel left in the secondary so I ran the pump again yesterday and filled it from 3/4 to full again.

Do me a favour please (Sorry for the off-topic) Please check if the outlet at the back of the long-range tank is also connected to the vent-pipe going back up. On mine only the front vent is connected - the one on the back is blanked off. I suspect that this might be my problem with the slow filling.

    When you have time!

    Will appreciate.

    Thanks

Mine definitely has two breathers. The inlet and outlet is on the same side of the tank and there are a breather right next to the large inlet pipe and then another breather on the opposite side of the tank. Both run upwards into the body but I could not see exactly where they are connected as the view is obstructed.

    Hope this helps

I have long range tanks too. Note that slow filing will be due to the tanks not being able to expell the air. I dont know how the breather work in the Pajero's but mine in the Colt has an awkward way where the breather pipe goes up the inside of the bak.
Mine had a loop in it and there was diesel in this loop. That was enough not to let the tanks breath and this was frustrating. Now I know...
