    Very nice bud, awesome pics!!

Is that a deflector on your RR with your spare wheel? Which roof rack is it?

It is a deflector made it myself from a sheet of aluminium and painted black, helps to keep all the bug off the bags and I hope it does something for the fuel economy. We refer to it as our Mack truck grille .

I have fitted the Frontrunner slim line RR with a spare wheel bracket and jerry can holder. The petrol X3 can be a little thirsty.

I think I'm the only X3 with a Frontrunner RR and spare wheel on the roof, the guy at Front runner was apprehensive but it worked.

Next trip is to Namibia January 2015.

That's awesome.. I would be keen to try something like this also to help with consumption and bugs.. Hope you don't mind if I borrow the idea..

I have been trying with the idea of putting my spare on the roof and using the boot space for other items, but alas, still considering it.

Wait, next trip is Jan? What dates you going and what's ur itinerary like?

A VERY belated congrats on your purchase!
Also come join the foresterforum - not all Scoob owners focus on making them lower/faster/noisier

Bartho, brave man to go there in an X5...or maybe, being from Nam, just more skilled offroad

What I found out in Nam was that on dunes, one can get stuck going downhill on the softer sides...
Even lower tyre pressure and a bit of nervous will got us out

Ja, I didn't want to comment on that, I was afraid that some guys here would see that as a challenge
