    Default Midweek camping spots

Any suggestions on nice camping spots within say a 70-80km radius of Cape Town? I want a place to go to after work on a Wednesday, pitch the tent, light a fire, braai a choppie, next morning pack up, shower and off to work. Must be super peaceful and a nice view won't do harm.

The rat race is killing me, can't wait for weekends, they take forever to arrive

You need to cross the mountain to get the type of campsites you are looking for. There are a few around Rawsonville. Try Slanghoek, Skilpadfontein, River House, etc

Rather go the Thursday after work - pitch the tent - go to work the next day and return the Friday after work.
The weekend will feel much longer!

Trekoskrall just South of Paternoster was great when I went two weekends ago. Maybe, its a bit further than you want to drive, but well worth it. Camping on your own private beach is hard to beat!!

Thanx, I have been eyeballing Trekoskraal for a while now, but as weekend destination. A bit far for midweek camping.
