Found this at wagoneers.com 8) . It's a Chrysler document from what I can gather.

They have a PDF with 576 pages of Wiring info and diagrams on the Grand Cherokee WJ.

Just a warning the PDF is 6.6MB for those on dial-up.

Found these 2 documents form Dodge sites. Both of them relate to the 45RFE/545RFE gearbox (tranny) that is found in various Chrysler products including various Jeep models (WJ V8, WJ 3.1, WK ? and KJ ?)

NOTE: The 45RFE (4 Speed, 5 ratio, rear wheel drive, fully electronic) is a 545RFE without the flash program upgrade on the TCM for the 5th gear.

Hi Johan,

I have an original Factory Service Manual (FSM) for the XJ. It's for the 2000/2001 models but there aren't that many differences back to '96. The FSM is not like a owners manual though - It's a 2000 page technical book usually used by dealers.

Unfortunately though, its a hard copy and is worth it's weight in gold! (To me anyway) If you let me know what you need, I can fax or scan.
