    Default Riviersondereind 4x4 Trail visit

    Dear Members

This weekend I will be reviewing this trail for Drive Out Magazine and if any members are at a loose end, they are welcome to join us.

The trail is limited to 10 vehicles – there are only 6 places left so hurry and book soonest.

There are a few trail options ranging from Grade 3-4.

We will be camping, so come prepared.
    (Bring braai wood.)
There is a donkie driven hot water shower and flushing toilets.
Unfortunately that is all I know at this stage.

We’ll meet on Saturday morning 7th August on the N2 at the Engen 1-Stop at 08:30.
Returning on Monday 9th August, after lunch sometime.

Cost: R500 per vehicle - includes 4x4 Trails, use of ablutions in cottage and camping fees.

Please email me your commitment to join us. Look forward to seeing you.

    Hi Willied,
Once it has been published, I'm sure they won't mind if I post a copy here.

We had a most enjoyable time, despite the rain.

Great views, prolific protea growth and even some indigenous (Knysna) forrest in the gorges, although the track and facilities need some maintenance. Well worth the visit though, just be prepared to be self-sufficient.

Grade 3, but a serious 4bordering on 5 when wet due to clay and slippery slopes which can be treacherous.

Be prepareed to get your vehicle scratched!! Untrimmed protea and black wattle.
