    Think we're going to Bass Lake, theres a new challenge section that needs looking at. Plus its close as I need to test my engine overhaul,Crips wants to check his new suspension, Joagri has new rubber that he wants to check and Landyluver wants to check his molecular DNA of mothballs and 2 stroke in his petrol. Estee was thinking of coming but he doesn't want to strain his suspension airbags- he'de rather sit on the forum and give others #$*%

    Bass Lake is at Henley on Klip,near Meyerton,they have a website. A few hours normally does it,but that challenge section is unknown territory,but I can't see it being big,but you only need to get stuck once and the times out of the window. Nice thing about it is that the trail winds around a quarry,so to get back to the start/office is never far-if you need to get home. I like to get home by 3-ish anyway to keep my marriage intact.

    I would love to play in Bass-lake, but the problem is its a bit far from Pretoria to drive a open top vehicle.
    I`m planning to play rather at the new Hennops trail, Chloorkop or the new De Wildt section

    Hi there.

    Chimes. Where is it and what would the cost be. Would like to do something on Monday. Bass lake would have been nice but im rallying on Saterday so on sunday the body would be a bit stiff.

    I was also thinking about going to Groenkloof on Monday, but it is not cast in stone yet.

    Chimes is free considering its a old mine, but i wouldnt recommend doing it unless you know it or you tag onto the Chimes rew.

    It can be dangerous out there (see thread about people getting hurt out there and they knew the area)

    It can also be very exciting;

    Since the GV was counter balanced, i didnt realise how much of a drop was ahead of us on the right front. The marshal saying there is a "little" drop didnt help much either

    And this is the first time technology bit me in the @rse, as i crossed over the hill descent control applied full ABS and this transfered our weight too bloody fast

    Berakah is a bit of a drive but great fun
    Groenkloof is boring and way too rocky/dusty
    De wildt is very easy but a nice venue for a social outride.
    Chimes is great fun, all sand and no cutting rocks (busy busy in the rain)
    Hennops (not sure which one i went to) dunno really, i went once and spent the day packing rocks.
