Lightbulb Nissan Hardbody 3.0 td free-flow exhaust

    Hey guys
    First post here
I have a 2008 Hardbody TD approaching its 50,000 km (that means last service under warrantee here in Mozambique) and plan on doing the following mods
-SAC (steves auto clinic) Intercooler mounting
    -SAC Dastek unichip
-Free flow exhaust, maybe SAC (This is where help would be much appreciated)
I would prefer to have it all done by SAC and during the same time, not only because it seems they know what they are doing, but also so the chip is calibrated according to both the intercooler and the free flow exhaust.
I know I want for sure to have the chip and cooler mounted, but SAC is charging 3,000 Rand for mild steel exhaust and 4,500 R for the stainless one. I would go with the mild steel as I don't plan in keeping the car for more than 50,000 KM.
However, 3,000 rand although reachable, is quite a lot for the exhaust.
Can anyone tell me if taking the bakkie to a performance exhaust shop and having them put a free flow on (and then going to SAC), will be cheaper than having SAC do it? Is 3000 R that SAC is asking for, the right price for the exhaust? I do want to see the power gains and I know that the chip and cooler should give the car around 100 kw (wheels) therefore would hope to reach 110 kw with the exhaust.
Does anyone know of a better place for a free flow exhaust regarding both price and quality of work? or is the 3000 rand SAC is asking for, good?
I do live in Mozambique so I am limited to Nelspruit, at the most, JHB.
    Kind regards

    Djimo

I guess I helped my self with this one.

I went to a couple of places here in moz to see prices.

Turns out Sound City here does the mild steel free flow for my hardbody at just over 2500 rand.

That's what I am doing as soon as I know what diameter piping I want.

I measured the stock and it looked like it was 54 mm

Can anyone suggest pipe sizes for best performance? (Im getting rid of the Catalytic converter btw)

    Thanks

    Hi Djimo,
Your hardbody is going to have a LOT more power once you have done the SAC etc. Take a page out of my book: Ease the power in whenever you use it. Your gearbox suffers first if you are not ashamed to use the power at hand, especially when towing. Be warned, your 5th gear is not up to it. If you want to overtake, rather shift down to 4th, although you have enough power.

5TH GEAR DOES NOT LIKE A LOT OF TORQUE

It's very odd that SAC's freeflow is so expensive

    I got my 3.3 a unichip (R2500) and a powerflow exhaust (+4 kw on wheels)for only R1700.
I'm planning on taking it to SAC for a Cold air intake system for even more horsepower and better feul consumption
