Wow! Well done. How difficult is it to remove the door panels? Any tips?

    Looks good.

Do you mind adding 'n picture of the primer, paint etc. Then I know what to ask for in my neck of the woods.

    Excellent.

I also want to do my Triton's silver door parts. They look a bit tatty.

    Will rattle-can silver work?

I think the rattle can silver might be a bit bright, but if you are ok with a bit of a colour difference, it'll definitely look better that the worn through panels.
Try to overcoat it with a clear coat though (even rattle can stuff) just to give it some more resistance to wear.

This is the primer and clear coat I used.

I donít have a pic or any particulars of the silver, and I just did a quick mix of silver and a bit of black to get a colour that was close enough

    Its really easy

undo the screw inside the grab handle
grip the handle and gently pull towards you and up in the same motion
against the door panel it should unclip or lift up enough for you to unclip it bit by bit all the way around
the switch wires simply unplug, and the switches can be removed by undoing 2 little screws. (plug them back in to continue to be able to use the windows while you do the repair)
the wiring is a bit on the short side, so reassembly is a bit fiddly, just be careful to not scratch your newly repaired bits

    Changed the head unit.

    Replaced with a Kenwood KMM-BT304.

Unfortunately lost the steering wheel audio controls, but gained Bluetooth, and huge amounts of tuning, 3 sets of lineouts, and a decent 3way crossover.

I will consider getting the module that gives me the ability to use the steering wheel controls again a bit later, itís just a bit pricey at about R1700

Well not today, but yesterday and the week before . Removed the roofrack, replaced the BF's with Wranglers, removed the drawer system (happy dance, have my bakkie back), had cab sliders installed in the aluminium canopy, and fitted a solar controller. Click image for larger version.

I installed these into my Gen 4 a few weeks back. Dual USB charger on the left and a USB C, USB and voltage readout on the other. Eish, was not a quick job. I still have to strip the dash again to fit Mr.G's dash bracing kit.

They work like a bomb and for camping the voltage readout will really come in handy.

That looks good. Where did you buy it and install it? Is the sound better (assuming you have the stock speakers still)

    This is the exact unit:
    https://onenav.co.za/product/onenav-9inch-pajero/

Fitted by Car Audio Warehouse in Bellville
Happy with the unit and the installation - Although I should have asked a few more questions up front, like ensuring they use the existing car microphone rather than running a new mic.

I am happy with the sound quality. The radio is much better. I have not gone on a long trip yet to hear how it sounds over road/engine sounds.

In time I will likely replace the stock speakers and install one of these:
    https://www.autostyle.co.za/product/...-in-amplifier/

They look to be a pretty neat option

Well worth the investment. If you have the time and the cash, consider having the front one powder-coated in black. It really looks good.

With the car being silver the steel looks really nice. Will see how it ages

Not today, but I installed a Doube DIN unit to replace the old radio.

    I chose a Sony unit:

Sony -XAV-AX5500 Bluetooth Media Receiver with Weblink Cast https://g.co/kgs/vX4Z69

It gives me all the nice features I never had:
    • Bluetooth connectivity with the cell phone
    • Touch screen control.
    • Android Radio (I really like the Navigation feature)
    • Dual USB for connectivity, music, media etc
    • WebLink Host, by which the unit echos the cell phone screen, and control is transferred to the touch screen.

I bought a flush mount USB extension and mounted it in the dash (30mm hole).

I had to move the aircon controls to where the little tray was, but it was all bolt-on.
