Default What did you do to your Mitsu Today ?

So all the other guys have this thread, so I decided to start one here .

    I have today,
    1) Removed bumper corners that were protecting the water bottle.
    2) Moved water bottle to a safer place.
    3) Trimmed Wheel arch liners

Bought a 2nd hand foglight from a member on the forum ( little bit broken ) but I only needed the lens, and replaced it today. Those buggers are R 1500 at the stealers.

You diesel guys think it is a memorable occasion when you need to replenish diesel. My 69l petrol tank and 16l/100km consumption...... I fill up twice just to get to work in the mornings!

    Hey Roelf.amen brother...

I have to say I was rather impressed with her consumption over the weekend. Drove to Lichtenburg on Friday, did the Fundi challenge and drove back on Saterday. I got 14.9l/100 average for the whole trip.

Drained dark, swamp-like substance from diffs. Replaced with Castrol's finest. Extended the diff breathers. Copied a Hilux forum method and ran the pipe through the chassis rail, T'ed it to the pipe from the front diff and ended it near the firewall with an in line fuel filter to stop dust. Used 8mm hose on the front diff, which fitted over the little plastic thingy after being warmed in water. Took the diff lock compressor inlet pipe up the wheel arch to the top front corner of the load bay, and addad another filter.

Seems like this thread needs some reviving!
Since I got my Pajero Sport in March I have done the following:
    • Disable EGR
    • Decat + downpipe
    • Changed the head unit to a Sony and added one of these such that the steering wheel controls still work https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/conn...l-adaptor.html
    • Built a loading system with 2 draws and a fridge slide for a Waeco CF50. Designed it in CAD so it can be shared
    • Laser cut and bent a rear recovery point as it seems mine was lost when the towbar was added by the original owner. This bolts behind the towbar as that structure seems very strong. (this was done today)

Got my Paj back from its first service and tow bar fitted. The 7 pin plug is mounted on the towbar 450 mm away from the ball!!! Now I have to scheme up a trick to position the plug closer to the ball. Probably have to buy an adaptor plate. Downright ugly those things are.

This weekend will be spent underneath fitting the cables to the rear from the aux battery. My garage floor is so rough, when my wife sees my back she will think I am having a wild affair!!
