Traveled to the mines in the Lydenburg Steelpoort area, 750 km round trip. Beautiful part of the country but being churned up by miners looking for platinum and ore. Oh well, its a job. But only till 23 December, then somebody else can do it!

Mitsu Fan, when are you fitting rock sliders? Would love to see where someone has built these strong enough to lift a LWB Gen 4 with a high-lift jack without bending them into the body, yet light enough to not have to upgrade the suspension..... any AutoCAD drawings of these out there...?

Installed a dual battery system in my BK shorty last week. It is wired to the boot plug & Brad Harrison plug at the towbar. Along with that my mods currently stand at:
    Stofpad Bashplate.
Track spacers (wider stance) - fitted by previous owner.
Escape Gear seat covers all round.
    Parrot Bluetooth hands-free kit.
Dashboard rattle fix from Kurt & Mr.G.

    Next up:
    Spacers for slight lift.
    Stofpad Rocksliders.

Hi Oubie, just make sure they fitted additional cable wrapping to the engine harness runs from the fuse box to the firewall. The fitment centers fit the additional metal battery tray right next to that harness and don't put additional cable wrapping to protect the harness.

Once you get onto a bad corrugated gravel road the harness rubs up against the tray and shorts out the wiring. Seen it twice already and normally blows the big 20amp fusible link that powers the engine computor. Have a pic somewhere, will post it later

    Hi Ian
Thanks for this. I did my own installation but opted for swapping the two batteries around. I think I have secured all wires to prevent rubbing but await your photo to check.
By the way, if you do sell your PAJERO, can I steal your avitar??

Ha ha, you welcome to use the Avatar. Almost joined the Ranger team, this weekend but wasn't happy with the condition of the bakkie.

The Photos as promised, excuse the quality. The second battery tray was already removed to find the short, the second photo shows the two white wires were shorting out against the tray.

Sadly yes, We are busy looking for a replacement for the Paj. Main reason is for space and practicability of a d/cab. My daughters are getting big Ironically sold my first d/cab for a Pajero for the comfort and ride quality it offers over d/cab. Have really enjoyed it these past 3 years, lots of good memories.

My rims kort weer n touch-up maar kom net nie so vÍr nie.

Hy gee 'n mooi dowwe mat/flat black kleur.

Good paint that stuff. I use it on almost everything.

Took my Paj for its 20 000 km service at Mitsubishi East Rand yesterday. Not too painful experience but they balanced the wheels as well and did a crap job. Now busy twiddling my thumbs while they redo it. Aaaaarrrrgghh!!!!

SupaQuick also screwed up with my balancing so I had to take it back and waste another morning... Thank goodness for a job that allows me to work remotely.

Chucked some Wurth Diesel Cure into my diesel tank this morning before I filled up...
On the way between Sandton and Fourways I got 11l/100km in stop-start traffic for the first time since I bought the vehicle two months ago 8)
Before I hit the traffic, I was on 9.7l/100km... I can't wait for the open road to see the improvement

This current tank should last until I go on leave and then I'll be running the rest of the Diesel Cure through my system during my trip to East London, Jeffries and Knysna
