Default Advice needed on new 2.5 TDI Hardbody please!

    Hi Everybody.

I am looking to buy the new 2.5 TDi Hardbody. Nissan SA has a special now selling the 2.5 TDi DC 4x2 for R246 300 (normal list price is R288 000), so this seems to be quite a good deal?

Does anyone drive one of these 2.5 Hardbody's? I am looking for some advice on whether this is a good buy at this price?

Also wondering why Nissan SA is selling at this reduced price? Are they going to launch a new Hardbody soon and are moving old stock now?

Also would like to know about 2.5 TDi fuel consumption.
Any inputs/comments about this car please!

    Many thanks...

    Hey James

We are getting our NP300 2.5TDi S/C 4x4 this week. I will let you know how the S/C is. I went for a testdrive in it and lot the power. We will be using the bakkie a lot for towing and far trips to botswana. So if you could please wait for a week then I will can give you info on the Fuel consumption. We bought the bakkie for R244 000.00 vat incl. and the paper work. Hope this helps.

    Hey James130

How was the test drive? I have some info for you about the NP300 2.5DTi. Fuel consumption is from 7.1-9km per liter. The 7.1km per liter was when I towed a 4x4 trailer fully loaded and had cargo on the bakkie. Drove 100km/h revs at 2700rpm. Love the bakkie. It has great power.Name: Image451.jpg

    Thanks for the replies.

I bought the Hardbody this week and took delivery today. Awesome car, very happy! Got a good deal from Nissan Kempton Park...

Will let you know about fuel consumption after a week or 2..

Any ideas about a good canopy for this car?

    Cheers...

Nissan SA is currently running a special on their hardbody's. I saw the advert in the STAR newspaper motoring section, and it runs until end of June 2010.

The 2.4 petrol DC is selling for R221k and the 2.5 diesel DC for R246k (normally R288k). Just ask any dealer about the promotion, they know about it!

Also bargained about R2000 off a few extras like rubberising and nudge bar...

IC Auto in Kempton Park where awesome (sales person was Ina, very helpful)

Have been asking around if Nissan is launching a new Hardbody soon, and if this sale is to clear old stock, but got no answers anywhere, so not sure? Even if this is the case, its still a good price, basically getting a new car at demo or good second hand price!!

    Hope this helps?

    Cheers

Nissan SA is selling the Hardbody 2.5 TDi DC for R246k (normally costs R288k) and the 2.4 petrol DC for R221k. This offer runs until end of June 2010. I saw the advert in the Star newspaper Motoring section.

I bought mine from IC Auto Nissan Kempton Park ( Sales person was Ina Faias, brilliant!).

Also managed to bargain about R2000 discount on some extras, rubberising, nudge bar etc...

Had the car a week now, love it!!
    Hope this helps. cheers...
