Yes Gareth, I've done it and it is stunningly beautiful and very scary at the same time! There are some tight blind turns, steep slopes, side slopes and a lot of driving on the sandstone rock. You got to keep your wits about you!
    Enjoy.

Its a good and exciting trail, very scary at some points, really need to concentrate. Did it about a month ago, was very dried and burned.. hopefully you get some rain before that..

Just have to keep my eyes closed-as swambo says.

Thanks, saw that one already, didn't know that was you-nice pics. Did you guys get badly stuck at all. One of the guys coming with is relatively new to offroad and very precious about his truck, any damage or dangerous parts that we should look out for?

Jimny had to be pulled up few places. Vally is challenging for most
No rain, so not much mud but that could change everything

I just booked at the Protea hotel for the 29th and 30th Oct and was looking to go and do a trail and try out the V8.
I did a part of the Valley trail a while back, but not the scary part as I was alone. With more cars going I think I'll try it...

Rebellie Kloof Trail is one of the best trails I've done thusfar. I also enjoyed watching the video in the link above. Brings back memories....

My terrano did exceptionally well. Even where the Jimny in the video was helped by the Rubicon, I managed to drive up that incline on first attempt. My BIL (drives a LC105GX with all the bells and wisthles) could not believe it. He said that if he had not been there to see it for himself, he would not have believed it if I told him that the terrano made it on first attempt. (Bear in mind that the terrano got IFS and no difflock - only LSD)

Anyway, Rebellie's accomodation is also first class. We stayed in an eight bed chalet (2 bedrooms and a loft) with built in braai and fireplace for the winter and a jacuzzi!!

I will definitely visit them again sometime. I will also recommend Rebellie to anyone for a superb experience!!
