We are travelling in June and were going to spend two nights in Klein Aus to avoid staying at Shark Island. Just spoke to them and they are full!! Any suggestions?

The Bahnhof Hotel in Aus has recently been revamped. Old buiding but very good service and rooms. Try them +264 632 58091

Try the old hotel at Seeheim, close to the railway station.
Cosy camping, dip pool and good bar.
Agree, its a bit remote but a desert place with flair.

Thanks, and they have camping? Something I have had to get used to with Namibian terms is the reference to "hotels" or "lodges" often does not mean it is solely a hotel or a lodge. In SA it is normally the other way round, a hotel is a hotel and lodge is a lodge and a "resort" can have all three. Many places people have suggested have been overlooked because of this confusion. Just my thoughts

They do have camping indeed but limited in space, but again, it is not likely that you'll find it full at any time - nice folks!

Guys is it a big mistake to go and find camping once I am there. I know June is busy season and with everyone running away from WC2010 maybe it would be a big mistake.

    Wayne,
Being quite a bit remote, I guess you'll find space in just popping up. But beware the distances between the locations, once you turn down one option, the next might be taken and then it's too far to return.

    Thanks Kalahari,

SWAMBO and I discussed it and we are going to book one night in advance as we travel. Tis will give us flexibility as well as give us a heads up in advance if we going to run into a problem.
