Second armed robbery on tourists reported in Inhambane
On Sunday night a second incident of armed robbery was reported from a resort in Inhambane province, one of Mozambique’s most popular holiday destinations, Sapa has reported. Two families were threatened at gun-point, tied-up and robbed at a resort in Morrumbene near Inhambane city. This attack comes just under a week after a similar incident in Chissibuca near Xai-Xai, when a group of three families was assaulted by an armed gang, and one woman was raped. Following these two attacks on tourists, the Inhambane Tourism Association will meet with the governor of Inhambane today to discuss the incidents. Read more
