Default 2.4 d/c Lack of Power

    Hi,

Can anyone assit with the below.

Have a 2005, 2.4lt D/C which am very happy with. However not happy with lack of power and fuel consumption when towing either my boat or off road trailer (+/- 800kg).

Has anyone done the SAC upgrade to this model. Can have the free flow exhaust + chip fitted @ SAC for R 1950 & R 2950 respectivley.
    Is this worth it for +/- 10kw & 25nm.
The exhaust is a good deal as was quoted that for a std mild steel unit from the "other" fitment centres. SAC's unit is stainless steel.

Would appreicate any comments / advice.

    Rgds

    Steven

hi Steven, sorry for late reply but was on a sabatical.

for what its worth, i recently had to replace my original exhaust on my '99 2.4 and was pleasantly suprised with the power increase. its was a pro-active move to replace the old one with a stainless steel freeflow also for +-R2k. IMHO the engine just breathes easier and for that alone i am happy.
-sorry but i dont know much about the chip, but hey ,why not ?
