ABS High pressure pump repair.

On Monday my wife phone hysterically the pajero is squeaking the ABS light and the one next to it is on and there’s no brakes.

Fortunately my brother visited Monday afternoon and we started diagnosing the problem.

We established that the pumps not running and the necessary 12v is present.

The most difficult part of removing the pump motor is to get the two 5mm Allen keys retaining the mounting out.

With the motor on the bench and stripped we found that one of the copper pads on the armature slip ring was off.

With the armature repaired I assembled it last night and all is well.

Obviously the difficult part was refitting the rubber mounting.
