    Smile I am loving it!

I want to share this with you:

Over this past weekend I took my kids to our facility outside Pretoria to see how 2 young mares were doing with their training etc.

I was surprised to be able to ride myself, with both mares reacting very good, not being lazy and in good condition.

Also surprising was when I lead my 3 and 4 year old sons, the same horses were calm and did not spook for anything.

    See attached photos.

Ok, niemand reageer nie, dus maak ek nou 'n aanbod sodat julle die ervaring ook kan deel met die wonderlike perde.

Bel vir Louise by 082 828 6323 en reel vir 'n rit op 3000ha plaasgrond. Daar is 'n gids wat julle sal ontvang, dis so 2 km anderkant Rietvlei Natuur Reservaat.

Nog 'n foto of twee sodat julle kan sien hoe lyk ons perde.

    Groete,

Good to see dad interact like this with his kids.

I have two warmbloods Holstein type ,both stand 17hh and are super jumping horses.Competing in 1.10m classes at present for the one and the other is 3.5yo she has just started jumping grids.I hear what you say about well behaved,so important to have a well mannered horse, makes life easier if they listen.

Yes, we still have our horses and the oldest one ride on it's own now. I wish I could find the time to do competitive jumping/showing - enjoy!

Yes, I do have a 4x4, but horses are still my passion...

We were Nooitgedachter breeders but started a breeding programme 13 years ago with a genetisist Prof. Piet Rossow to breed the Cape Riding Horse - we used our Nootgedachter mares with mainly Boerperd stallions - we do however have an evaluation process the focuses a lot on riding ability, comfort, willingness, temperament, character and conformation.

See our website: caperidinghorse.co.za for more info. We use our horses mostly for trailrides etc. where you need a reliable, comfortable an well schooled horse that still like to go...

The horses are used in extensive conditions, and their sturdiness and low maintenance are well known.

Will check it out, looks great! Swambo's mom used to do trails long ago here on the lodge, but now all trail horses are retired and living the good life on our 12000ha farm.

I no longer compete, but do have my horse here, so does swambo, who still competes professionally as does her mom and sister.

Swambo rides a thouruoghbred from SA, her mom rides a big Anglo Arab Stallion (first to be registered in the Warmblood society) and her sister a warmblood.

My donkey is a arab/percheron mix.

    Horses, not a hobby but a virus...lol

Wow, can we send some of our old horses over there to your horse haven for retirement

Please put up some pics, I want to see your arab/percheron!

See my kids in the pic's still loving it, SWAMBO is managing our trailriding business at the Voortrekker Monument, so the kids interact with the horses daily.

We also have a carriage for events at the Voortrekker Monument (Pics attached).

    I agree - it's in the blood!

Lyk na 'n lekker uitstappie om SWAMBO en ons seuntjie op te vat. Het juis met geloftedag vir SWAMBO gesê ons moet bietjie weer Monument toe.
