    Default Leeupoort Holiday Village

I'm looking at buying some property in the near future. Can anybody tell me what Leeupoort is like? I see there's lots of property for sale there.

It looks like something similar to Marloth Park but Marloth has had its fair share of serious crime.

Is ADSL available in the area and what are the municipal services like? Crime?

    Hi Senyetse

I know the architect who design more than half the houses there and he himself lives there.
I visited a few times as he is my "peetpa"

If you want his contact number PM me and I'll send it to you?
He will be able to answer all your questions.

My honest opinion is it's a great place, some people might not think so, don't know why they won't though?!

    Default Honest opinion

I also considered to buy a property there some time ago.

What we then did was to rent a house for 4 days during December 2008 inside the holiday season.

The first thing I realised that most of the stands are very small (400sqm).

The old guy in the house behind us, who happened to be a permanent resident entertained us with his choice of music which ranged from Bles, Rina Hugo, Juanita, Classical etc. I also listen to some of these but at my time.

I think on the hill where the new development is the stands are bigger.

The game drive into the conservation area was very nice.

The swimming pool at the caravan park (where I won't camp though - seems unkept) was OK. The other one near the gate played load music, which is fine in holiday season, but the boepens okes had plenty supply of Brandy to gooi down their throats and sat inside the pool with their glasses to the brim. I wouldn't swim as I didn't know whether there might be pieces of glass on the bottom.

    Honest opinion -
Marloth had bigger stands, houses are obscured from one another, the common pool area is less Zef (to use "die antwoord's" comment)

Leeupoort - Is much closer to Gauteng, buy a big stand on the hill and build your own pool!!

Another option might be Kranspoort near Middelburg / Loskop area but I haven't been there.

P.S. My architect also has a house in Leeupoort but doesn't live there!

Thanks guys. Yes, please other suggestions are most welcome. I'm looking for somewhere in the bush where we can maybe spend some time and work from and possibly move to permanently one day.
