Well I used to do farrier work on various horses, even cattle but due to age and lower back ache I no longer do this, did it while I was in the army as well, in South West Africa at 1 Swa Spes and I have owned a few horses as well.

What beautiful animals they are. Got a few donkeys on the farm now which are cute.

If you ever visit Gauteng - a lovely outride at the Voortrekker Monument with very nice horses. They also offer Moonlight-rides. We did it and enjoyed it very much. On top of the hill we sat down and had a drink and biltong with cheese (provided) with a spectacular view over Pretoria with its night-lights.

Later kampe gedoen by Pelindaba.

    Yes, phone Eben on 082 828 6201.
Meanwhile we visited onother place south of Rietvlei Nature Reserve. For advanced riders, ride through streams, climbing hills and galop the open veld. It was awesome! Use the same cell no. These horses are very well trained and willing.

If you want to make a long weekend of it, visit Anysberg. One of my favorite reserves and they offer horse riding and even have an overnight trip with the horses.
