Truly awesome. Except for the colour.

According to SA4x4 Mag it was with Nissan SA approval too.
Nothing was mentioned about diff ratio reduction with those 38" wheels.

In the SA4x4 they said when its finished they are going to do road tests to determine if bigger brakes and defferent ratios is needed. They also said they have in their sleave for the next issue. Will they put it in a competion?

Ewald who has got to drive it said that the 2.5 is OK with those big tires on, and he is generally a power freak with his Hilux v8 interceptor. Bakes I dunno. This 38's are monsters

I've just come back from spending the afternoon with the local LA Sport boys playing with our 4x4's. We talked about the Navara and the projected cost for the full conversion including a diff ratio change will be about R200K.

What? Are you crazy? The vehicle looks awesome and the colour matches the vehicle. Looking forward to seeing it on the road.

Default First Photo's LW & LAS Navara

SPY PIC'S of Leisure Wheels and LA Sport Nissan Navara

Sorry for the poor quality of the pics, my BlackBerry sucks!
I jumped the gun a bit, i see there are pics in a Nissan thread, but anyway here goes.

The Nevara is a long term test car of Leisure Wheels on loan from Nissan SA and was involved in fender bender in Jan 09'. From there the alterations as a project between LW, LAS, Autostyle and ATS (Mickey Thompson). The Navara has a standard 2.5 engine and according to Lionel from LAS who on Friday traveled over 400km and with cruise control set at between 120 and 130km/h worked just fine. They will be upgrading the brakes to Ferodo DS Performance brakes in this month and adding some sound, leather, performance exhaust and other extra's soon.

The wheels 38" Mickey Thompson's, custom suspension, custom replacement bumper, custom everything!!!

Kobus, some members here have an allergic reaction to the Nissan section!
