    I finally made the move from Bridge cameras to DSLR. I am a hobbyist photographer an not in the east professional. In fact I have only recently acquired a Canon EOS 90D and am still acquainting myself with the workings and settings on the different manual selectors. Here some birdshots during a recent trip to KNP.

    Nice stuff Luka. I hope that like myself, you will find bird photography "just another string to your bow" when entertaining yourself when out in the wilds.

    Well done on the photos it's great to see that you are enjoying your new DSLR camera. It is great that you have chosen the Canon 90d. By the way bird photography is addictive.

    Jip, I am also a Fly fishing enthusiast, Compound Bow-Hunter and now DSLR photography..........these are all GRAND things to do! Every time you walk into a store you spend a few Grand!

    Of course not. The chances of getting two BIF in focus in one shot are about a million to one. And not that special type of million to one that happens nine times out of ten...

    I seem to recall it being a Carmine. But I took this photograph a looong time ago. The photo was taken at Roodekoppies dam, just North of Brits. Both European and Carmine are fairly abundant there. So it could be either.

    These were taken at the Walter sisulu national botanical Gardens on the West rand. Brownhooded kingfisher and White Bellied sunbird and a double collared sunbird.
