Beautiful pix. I was at Nikon today and they want R120k for a 600mm lense.
I'll stick to your pix in that case.

Ksheshe, beautiful photos. May I ask what camera and lens did you use?

Spook. First trip with my new equipment - Sony A900 with 70-400g sometimes with 1.4tc. Not happy with some of the photo's but more practice with equipment should improve things - i hope.

Beautiful photos, Andre. The standard here is so high that I don't post!......... but your's fit in really well.

Just a thought.........could you label the bird names, please? It helps educate those of us who don't know their African birds quite so well. thanks.

    Default Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens

Went to the above this morning in high anticipation of the so talke about sunbirds in aloe garden. Well, I saw squat, nada, nothing.

Did however get the Black eagle and a measily crested barbet for my efforts.

Cant believe I am complaining..... Still better than watching Bakkies lose his mind....

Well done to everybody posting pics. At the moment the pickings are slim down here in Cape Town photography wise.

Andre, I have to agree with Swainsons. That African Rail photo of yours is incredible.

Here is a few from the Cape.

    Natio

One hour this morning at Walter Sisulu Botanical gardens, in the little aloe garden they have. Very pretty indeed.

    Very well done Andre.

Some of my antics this weekend at Walter Sisulu Botanical gardens. Those little sunbirds are really photogenic, but the little black and malachite avoid me endlessly.
