Went looking for the Ayres hawk eagle at LC twice now, first time found a Verreaux eagle and second time around a booted eagle, need to push up the speed on the d850 though...Click image for larger version.

Hi LC is the university of Pretoria's experimental farm in South Street. This is the Ayres Hawk-eagle local hunting ground and lately we have found Verraux and the booted and black sparrow-hawks too. I will gladly go do a late morning there as I still need the Ayres.

Gif - keen to join u anytime - will pm u my number - Iím keen on any raptors.

i was in wakkerstroom this last weekend with lots rain - havenít been birding in the sun for awhile. I used Lucky as guide (bookings with BirdLife). I gave him 6 birds - denhamís / drak prinia / Ruddís lark / Botha lark / African firefinch and yell breasted pipit - we got all except pipit and that was purely due to a freezing wind and rain. He basically told me where to drive we got out and there was the bird. Will go back as soon as the sun shines again.

Anyone else on the birdlasser lockdown challenge?

Peter I need some help, I am shooting a lot of birds in the flyover for the challenge with the d850 and 200-500 at 500 f5.6, iso 1000, 1/4000. And they are just not coming out sharp enough? I think the lense is just not coping with the distance? Because everything close is great?

Example 1 and 2. Click image for larger version.

Both from the back yard this morning, one closer and one further, same settings and edit basically except the crop on the darter is more because its so far away and the iso is coming through hectically.

Do you have to submit continuously to get the total updated? There is no option on the IPhone app to play. Registered on the link you gave me.
