    Not really about the quality of the photo but rather that it's a really out of normal range Mascarene Martin that's been hanging with it's cousins at uMdloti for the last week. A few visits before we managed to get a sight of the rare visitor. So, inordinately chuffed with a very ordinary photo.

    A more pleasing photo on the eye, African Yellow White-eye, Also Katanga but looks like it occurs far Northern Limpopo upwards

    Then the dramatic twist in the tale (tail?), yesterday while a few people were in this spot and the Martin came back after being missing for a day, a Lanner Falcon flew in and snatched it. Imagine being the lone bird of interest amongst 20 others, and you get voted off the island.
